Technical Content Writer

Who am I and Why I Do This?

I am a researcher, teacher, and technical content writer. The teacher in me enjoys simplifying complex ideas, and as a researcher, I ensure clarity and depth in technical content writing. My experience across diverse technical domains also motivated me to work as a technical content writer. I believe in connecting knowledge with real-world understanding in a creative way.

Over the years, I noticed a common problem. Many great products, especially in the intersection of AI and healthcare, are difficult to explain clearly. And when people don’t understand something, they don’t use it.

That’s where I come in. A technical content writer turn complex technologies into clear, relatable content that people can actually understand and trust.

My Journey to be a Technical Writer

My journey didn’t start with technical content writing, but it started with teaching.

After completing my studies, in 2004, I began as a lecturer in Electronics and Communication. Teaching helped me understand how people think, where they get confused, and how to explain things step by step. Later, I moved into research and joined Qatar University in 2012, and then later, after my PhD, I joined Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) as a postdoctoral researcher in 2022.

As of 2026, my primary job is research and currently I am with HBKU. I gathered knowledge in diverse areas and conducted in depth research in particular areas like ICU sedation, cancer therapies in general, developed machine learning models for blood cancer diagnosis, and forecasting models for supply chain applications. I have experience in mentoring PhD research related to forecast model driven pharmacy inventory control, additive manufacturing, adoption of AI in banking sector, and procurement digitalization. See my Google Scholar profile link above to see my published write-ups related to these areas.

My core research areas can be comprehended as AI and healthcare systems, data-driven modeling and decision making, and Supply chain and digital systems. One thing stayed consistent through my journey is I was constantly involved in documenting and explaining most modern and innovative  technology and services whether to readers, students, reseachers, or teams.

A Little More About Me: More Than a Technical Writer

I enjoy reading,  listening and having meaningful conversations. I have  been part of Toastmasters, where I served as VPPR and later President of Mother of Pearl Toastmasters club, which strengthened my ability to communicate and connect with people.

I also enjoy making small creative things for home decor, simple painting, just small things that help me stay creative.

At this stage in my life, I also wanted something more flexible, work I can do from anywhere, at my own pace. However, I want it to be deeply connected to the world of technology and innovation that inspires me.

Thus technical content writing felt like the most natural fit. It brings together everything I’ve done so far, teaching, research, technology, and communication. As I write this, I remember inspiring talk by Muhamed shukri in 2024 DTAC Qatar I recall a thought from Muhamed Shukri’s (Founder, CEO of Y Access Training Solutions) talk at DTAC Qatar 2024 about each of us being a one-of-a-kind combination, an idea that resonated more deeply over time.

Few Real World Experience and Technical Writing Expertise

In addition to research and writing, I have hands-on experience in technology development projects involving API integration, backend–frontend architecture, and documentation of full-stack system workflows. I have contributed to the development of web-based platforms using Flask, PostgreSQL, machine learning models, and API-driven architectures, including HematoScreen, an AI-powered leukemia detection system published under the HBKU domain. This project received First Prize in Computer Science and Engineering at the Al Fikra National Entrepreneurship Competition (2024). I am currently involved in another technology project focused on supply chain management systems, where I work with backend logic, data pipelines, and system integration.

These experiences enable me to write with practical insight about APIs, developer tools, backend–frontend integration, cloud platforms, cybersecurity concepts, additive manufacturing, digital twins, Simulation-based tools, blockchain applications, and modern software architectures.

Global Perspective in Technical Content Writing

I have attended several international conferences in healthcare and supply chain such as IFAC in Toulouse in France, Trondheim in Norway to name some. Having traveled to 14 countries, including Seychelles (Africa), the United States, the United Kingdom, Dubai, Qatar, and several European countries such as Switzerland, the Netherlands, France, Spain, Italy, Greece, Belgium, Germany, and Norway, and being an avid reader, I bring a broader global perspective and cultural awareness to my writing. This international exposure helps me craft insightful, globally relevant content that resonates with diverse audiences across industries and regions.
